Part One: Six God-Centered Truths for Effective Prayer
Sermon Summary: I find myself desiring to do better at praying. Do you agree? When I say “better”, I mean “effectiveness” in the quality of our prayer-life and awareness of God in our prayers. Genesis 18 provides the first example of a detailed prayer in the Bible. Abraham prays a prayer that is God-centered and effective. We will explore three God-centered truths for effective prayer in this message (with three more reserved for next week).
- God is supremely personal. Genesis 18:1-7
- God is supernaturally all-powerful. Genesis 18:8-15
- God is sovereign over your life. Genesis 18:16-21
