Genesis 21 and Galatians 4

Sermon summary: Why are you and I not able to do enough good to earn favor with God? When a person trusts in Jesus as Savior and Lord, can they live as they please? Such questions address the important issue of understanding how God’s Law and the Gospel operate in the Bible. Furthermore, these two have consequences for both unbelievers and believers today.

1. Heavenly promise of the Gospel of salvation. Genesis 21:1-8

2. Heed warnings about using God’s Law for salvation. Genesis 21:9-14

3. Heavenly invitation extended for salvation. Genesis 21:15-21
