Sermon summary: In the Old Testament, the premier sign or symbol which pointed people to the need for a changed heart was circumcision. In the New Testament, baptism pictures the person having experienced salvation with a changed heart in saving faith. We shall explore how circumcision and baptism picture the need for a transformed heart that desires to know God.
- We need grace to change our hearts as God is made known to us. Genesis 17:1-8
- Our heart must change through faith to begin knowing God. Genesis 17:9-14
- Our lives must change as we grow in knowing God. Genesis 17:15-27
