Why The Son of God became man

Genesis 1:26-3:21

 What is meant by incarnation? The Son, being truly God, joined to himself true humanity, with all its qualities, minus sin

 

  1. The incarnation was necessary to repair what was broken by man.

    Genesis 1:26-3:14.

 *Broken Communion with God = A SPIRITUAL CRISIS.

 *Broken Law of God. = A MORAL CRISIS

 *Broken Covenant with God. = A RELATIONAL CRISIS

 *Christ would become the New Adam to repair what was broken.

  

  1. The incarnation provided for the salvation of man. Genesis 3:15-21

 *Provision to ruin Satan.                                  Genesis 3:15

 *Provision to reconcile sinners to God.             Genesis 3:16.

 *Provision to redeem sinners from enslavement. Genesis 3:17-18.

 *Provision for resurrection from the dead.        Genesis 3:19.

 *Provision for removal of wrath.                      Genesis 3:20-21.
