The Three Signs of a Drifting Christianity
Galatians 4:8-20
- A loss of devotion to the truth of God. Galatians 4:8-11
*We must never forget how God’s devotion found us.
*We must consider the spiritual health of our devotion.
- A loss of a definite sense of God. Galatians 4:12-16
Note how this sense of God diminishes.
*Our love for God’s people grows cold.
*Our love for God’s Word grows cold.
- A loss of direction in pursuit of God. Galatians 4:18-20
*Loss of direction is accompanied by distraction.
*Loss of direction is amplified by distance.
*Loss of direction is reversed when we desire Christ.
- How do we reverse “drifting away”?
*Renounce.
*Repent.
*Return to the cross.
