The Great Concern: Church Discipline: Part One - Gal 2:1-10

Introduction: Jesus first command to his church was what I call His “Great concern”. Jesus laid down the designs for the church. To ensure that she will uphold her identity as His holy bride in this world, He has prescribed church discipline.

            I will lay out four reasons for church discipline in all, focusing on the first two in this message and the remaining two reasons next time.

* It calls stragglers back into the church.

* It confirms the Gospel in the church.

* It keeps accountable leadership in the church.

* It clarifies holiness in the church.
