Today’s message takes us into the homestretch of our series on the Book of Revelation. I call this final part of Revelation 21-22: “The Grand-finale of glory”. As we consider the eternal destiny of believers, we discover that the future reality of eternal glory is echoed in creation and throughout the Bible. By pondering on such truths as eternity, believers can better grasp how they ought to live their lives today.

What is eternity? An endless duration of life unlimited by time.

1. Echoes of eternity are in our world. Revelation 21:1

•Eternity written on our hearts.

•Eternity illustrated in the Old Testament.

2. Evidence of eternity found in Jesus. Revelation 21:2

•He personally brought eternity into time.

•He powerfully brought together time and eternity.

•He will permanently bring both together.

3. Experience of eternity in Christian salvation. Revelation 21:3-7

•Reconciliation with God.

•Renewal by God.

•Redemption finished by God.

•Rich inheritance in God.
