Evening Series: Starting and Maintaining a Revival
Back to the Bible Ezra 1:1-4
What is a revival? That periodic work of God that re-emphasizes the Bible, reawakens prayer, renews God’s work, refocuses God’s people, reiterates the fear of God and can result in growth of the local church and regeneration of lost sinners.
To illustrate this, a sail may be hoisted upon the mast of ship, but unless the wind blows, the ship will remain where it is. Indeed, a sail must be raised (this is 2 Chronicles 7:14). Yet Christians and churches need to also watch, pray and be ready to work for what God can bring forth.
