8/15/21 Be Alert to the Reality of the Kingdom –

Mk 4:1-2, 10-12

1. The need of awareness about the Kingdom. Mk 4:1-2

*The kingdom of God is His reign and domain of influence through the Son, Jesus Christ.

*Prayer.

*Person of Christ.

*Power of the Scriptures.

*Persuasion by the Holy Spirit.

2. The nature of the kingdom. Mk 4:10-12

*The kingdom’s appreciation is brought about by God’s  

  grace overcoming my otherwise resistant mindset.

*The kingdom is accessed by receiving it, rather than

  working for it.

*The Kingdom has affected our world by Jesus’ first

  coming and is visibly coming soon at Jesus’ second

  coming.

3. Why alertness to the Kingdom’s reality matters.

*Daily decisions.

*Suffering and pain.

*Perspective.
