6/6/21 Morning Series: Meeting Jesus in Mark
The Truths and Mysteries of Divine Healing

Mark 1:40-2:13

1. The truths of Divine healing.
• God has personal interest to heal. Mark 1:40-41; 2:5
• God prioritizes scripture in healing. Mark 1:42-43
• God has the power to heal. Mark 1:41; Luke 5:17
• Personal faith receives healing. Mark 1:42; Mark 2:5

2. The mysteries of delayed healing (related to God’s purposes).
• Purpose of medicine alongside faith. Isaiah 38:21
• Purpose of purifying faith. Mark 2:1-4; 9:24
• Purpose of focusing faith. Mark 2:5-12
• Purpose of a testimony of faith. Jn 9:1-3; 11:11-16, 40
• Purpose of avoiding hindrances to faith. 2 Cor. 12:9-10
• Purpose of testing faith. Mark 7:24-30
• Purpose is hidden from faith. Phil. 2:25-27; 2 Tim. 4:20

Conclusions:
• Focus on God’s character in your time of struggle, whether emotional, psychological or physical. Remember, He is Sovereign, loving and good.
• Accept that it is o.k. not to know why some are not healed. It is all in the Lord’s hands and is part of His design, for now.
• Faith, or lack thereof, does not cause nor delay healing. Rather, God’s purposes regulate healing’s timing.
