What it Takes to Live for Jesus

Mark 1:14-20

1. Power of the Holy Spirit. Mark 1:14-15

* Life’s struggles need the Spirit’s power.

* Life’s demands require the Spirit’s power.

* Obedience and prayer access the Spirit’s power.

2. Pursue the call to follow Jesus. Mark 1:16-20

*External call to the ears and eyes.

*Effectual or internal call to the conscience and heart.

Philippians 3:13-14  Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
