Message: Knowing What Kind of God, God Is
Exodus 3

Sermon summary: This series is dedicated to exploring how God is more than awesome! We are engaging in an area of Bible doctrine called, “Theology Proper”, which refers to the Bible’s teaching about God’s being, attributes, identity and glory. We explored last time how we can know the “God that is” – i.e. exists. We observed then how: The God that is, is knowable and the God that is, has spoken! In this message, we want to draw closer to this God by knowing what kind of God, God is through His attributes.

What are God’s attributes? Those perfections of His being which express what God is and how He is as God.

1. God’s incommunicable attributes show how He is

as more than awesome. Exodus 3:1-15

3. God’s attributes are why we worship Him as more
than awesome! Exodus 3:12; 19:1-2; Acts 7:7.
