Morning series: What lies ahead

Sermon summary: Revelation 21-22 represents God’s “Grand-finale” of eternity. In our last message we defined eternity as an endless duration of life without beginning or end. God alone is eternal. In this message we will consider what makes the eternity of Revelation 21-22 such great news. We will explore great announcements from eternity and the application of what it means for the need of salvation and daily Christian living.  

1. Grand announcements of eternity.  Revelation 21:1-8

• Reconciliation to God.

• Renewal by God.

• Redemption finished by God.

• Rich inheritance in God.

• Repeated warning to avoid judgement by God.

2. Great applications of eternity today. 2 Peter 3:3-13

• Experience opposition about eternity. 

• Evangelism is urgent because of eternity. 

• Efforts in godliness is from a focus on eternity.
