Joy in God requires us to stand firm in God. The importance of “standing firm in God” is repeatedly commanded in scripture. So how can you and I stand firm in God in a world that stands firmly against us? This message will give you a strategy on how you can stand firm in Him.
1. Stand firm: focus on Christ’s return. Philippians 3:20-4:1,4-5
2. Stand firm: fight the enemy, not each other. Philippians 4:2-3
3. Stand firm: furnish your spiritual life. Philippians 4:6-9
a. Pray, rather than worry. 4:6-7
b. Pay attention to your thought-life. 4:8
c. Prioritize obedience to the Bible. 4:9
